THE PURPOSE OF THE SYMPOSIUM

The Annual Cornfrontation Symposium exists to keep the rivalry fun, organized, and just serious enough to be ridiculous.

Held after the Grand Cornfrontation, the Symposium reviews the year’s acceptable insults, considers new stories and evidence for inclusion in the Society’s canon, and updates the historical record accordingly.

The Symposium also determines how any proceeds generated by Cornfrontation merchandise will be used. Our first priority is to fund future Cornfrontation merchandise and events. Any remaining proceeds are intended to support a charitable organization associated with the winner of that year’s Grand Cornfrontation.

In short: the winner earns bragging rights, the Society preserves the argument, and proceeds are spent on a worthy cause.
